Wrock for Darfur
Hey, everyone! I know it’s a little late to blog here but I’ve been busy with things like Tetris, talking to my BFF Theresay late into the night, collecting sporks, rehearsing, updating MySpace, and drawing wacky illustrations for my novel. Anyway, I’d like to announce that Kate and I will be appearing at the Darfur benefit concert in Waryas Park (Main Street, Poughkeepsie) on August 23. We will be appearing at 1:45 in the afternoon, though the concert starts at noon and ends at nine. Other groups that are going to be performing include the Moaning Myrtles, the Hungarian Horntails, Nagini, and DJ Luna Lovegood. There will be speakers and the concert’s aim is to show First Worlders exactly what we can do to help give relief to those affected by this heinous genocide.
I’m very excited and proud to be a part of it, and there’s a link to it in the sidebar.
WRock for Darfur
Hey everyone!! Charlotte and Kate are elated to announce that they are playing at their first wizard rock concert on August 23, 2008. WRock for Darfur, an all day event held at Waryas Park in Poughkeepsie, is an all-day event promoting awareness of and benefitting refugees of the genocide in Sudan. Charlotte and Kate are going to appear sometime on that date, and more information will appear here as we know more. Visit Luna Lovegood Band’s MySpace and WRock for Darfur’s Home Page to learn more!! Also, we are getting ready to release our first album in our up-and-coming store on CafePress.
Our New Home
Hello, and, yes, this is the same Luna Lovegood Band! We have moved from www.thelunalovegoods.wordpress.com, and now reside here.
This website will be constructed better than our former host website. Hopefully you’ll think so, too. As we begin to work on our album I Hope There’s Pudding and to celebrate the up-and-coming 10th Anniversary U.S. Edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, featuring “bonus material” from J.K. Rowling and new cover art from Mary GrandPré, we will be recreating a LLB Online Home here.
We will get some recordings up A.S.A.P.!
A talented friend of the band will soon be creating a web header for us, because we are currently PhotoShop-less. You can view much of her fantastic artwork here.
